Two Baltimore Teens Charged with Carjacking

BALTIMORE, MD – A prompt response from the Baltimore Police Department’s Southern District officers led to the arrest of two teenagers following an attempted carjacking and robbery.

The incident occurred on March 17, at around 6:17 p.m., in the 900 block of Light Street. A 37-year-old male reported that while seated in his vehicle on East Wheeling Street, he was assaulted by three individuals who demanded his vehicle and fled with his keys.

Following a detailed description broadcasted to units, the suspects were apprehended in the 1700 block of Covington Road with the assistance of Foxtrot and patrol officers.

Two of the assailants, aged 15 and 16, were taken to the Juvenile Justice Center for processing. A 13-year-old found not to have participated in the crime, was released to a parent.
