Philadelphia Felon Arrested with Arsenal of Firearms at Marijuana Grow Facility

Philadelphia Police

HARRISBURG, PA – In a significant operation led by Attorney General Michelle Henry, a Philadelphia felon on parole was arrested for illegal possession of firearms. Nicholas Mimoso, with a history of felony convictions, was found with ten firearms and devices converting them to automatic.

The arrest followed a comprehensive investigation by the Philadelphia Gun Violence Task Force and Bureau of Narcotics Investigations. Mimoso, 35, is facing charges for corrupt organizations and firearms possession offenses. Additionally, law enforcement dismantled a substantial marijuana manufacturing operation, seizing products valued at nearly $1 million.

During the operation, agents served search warrants at Mimoso’s residence, his place of employment, its warehouse, and a vehicle. The search led to the discovery of a shotgun, ammunition, a ballistics vest, and a riot helmet. Evidence suggested Mimoso was involved in illegal acquisition of the firearms.

The operation also uncovered a marijuana grow operation and a storage site for the narcotics. Another individual, Miguel Alamilla, faces charges for illegal firearm possession. Mimoso remains jailed on $500,000 bail and a parole detainer.
