Baltimore Police Arrest Man for Illegal Gun During Routine Business Check

BALTIMORE, MD — In the early hours, Northwest District patrol officers encountered an unoccupied vehicle with its motor running in the 4100 block of Belvedere Avenue. The officers were conducting business checks around 1:42 AM when they made the discovery.

Upon approaching the vehicle for investigation, an adult male, later identified as the driver, attempted to interfere with the officers’ efforts. Visible within the vehicle were items that prompted the officers to arrest the 52-year-old male driver.

The suspect, who is legally prohibited from owning a firearm or ammunition, was subsequently transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. There, he faced charges in accordance with the law.
