Brick Township Honors High School Girls Soccer Team for Championship Win

BRICK, NJ – Brick Memorial High School Girls Soccer Team has been honored with a dedicated day, “Brick Memorial High School Girls Soccer Team Day,” set for Wednesday, March 13, following their triumphant win of the 2023 NJSIAA Central Jersey Group III Championship. The official proclamation was made by Mayor Lisa Crate during the Township Council meeting on March 12.

Mayor Lisa Crate commended the team, known as the Mustangs, for their hard-earned state championship victory, attributing their success to diligent practice, commitment, and teamwork. She expressed the township’s pride in the team’s achievement. The Mustangs clinched the championship after defeating Middletown South High School with a score of 2-1 on November 6, marking their seventh sectional championship.

The proclamation was presented to Head Coach Billy Caruso, with each team member receiving a certificate of commendation. The victorious team comprises players Vic Hiotis, Giselle Lizardi, Lexi Caruso, Emily Cranston, Makayla Doheny, Chloe Gellici, Kylie McCullough, Ashlee Schlagenhaft, Skyler Schlagenhaft, Maggie Allen, Makayla Siciliano, Reese Keane, Mia Caruso, Gabby Hernandez, Lila Hopkins, Brooke DeAlmeida, Jordan McCullough, and Sydney Mihalko.
