Arrest Made in Jersey City Triple Shooting Case

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office has announced the arrest of Joseph Del Valle, 36, of Hoboken, in connection with a triple shooting incident that occurred in Jersey City on March 9, 2024. Del Valle faces charges including murder and two counts of aggravated assault, among other weapons charges. He was apprehended at a location on Summit Avenue in Jersey City and is currently being held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility awaiting his initial court appearance.

In a related development, Francisco Salcedo, 42, from Jersey City, has also been charged with aggravated assault and weapons charges. Salcedo was arrested on March 11, 2024, and following a State’s Motion for Detention, Judge Paul DePascale ordered his detention on March 26, 2024. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office continues to investigate the shooting, which has now led to significant legal actions against the individuals involved.
