NEW YORK, NY – A disturbing harassment case was reported on a northbound J Train at the Cypress Hills subway station early Tuesday morning. At around 6:30 AM, a 48-year-old woman was approached by a male who complimented her inappropriately and then persistently followed her, even as she moved to another train car to avoid him.

The harassment continued as the victim exited at the Jamaica-Parsons/Archer subway station, with the individual chasing her into a building where an altercation occurred. The man fled the scene on foot, leaving the victim unharmed but distressed by the ordeal.

According to the NYPD, “The individual stated “Hey You Cute” while staring at the female. The victim moved to another train car, on the same train with the individual following her, and then sitting directly in front of her staring in her direction.”

Authorities are now searching for the suspect described as a male in his early to mid-20s, around 5’5″ tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, blue sweatpants, and light-colored sneakers.
