Beauty Store Employee Struck During Robbery in Newark

NEWARK, DE – Delaware State Police are currently investigating a robbery incident at the Ulta Beauty store in Newark, following what initially began as a shoplifting attempt. The event unfolded on the afternoon of March 28, 2024, at the retail location on 2130 Fashion Center Boulevard.

According to the initial findings, two female suspects engaged an employee for help with products in a locked display case. When the case was unlocked, one suspect assaulted the employee by pushing her and striking her in the face, enabling both individuals to take several items without payment and flee the scene on foot. The search for the suspects immediately ensued, but they remain at large. The employee involved reported only minor injuries.

Authorities are in the process of gathering surveillance footage to aid in the identification of the suspects, described only as black females at this stage. The Delaware State Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
