Jetski Rider Missing After Crash in Canal in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – A tragic jet ski accident in the canal just south of the 3000 block of Southern Blvd in West Palm Beach has prompted an extensive search for a man who disappeared beneath the water and did not resurface. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) responded to the incident yesterday, with Palm Beach Fire Rescue arriving swiftly at the scene.

In a joint effort with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the PBSO Marine Unit utilized sonar equipment in their search operations. Despite exhaustive efforts into the evening, the search had to be continued today, April 1, 2024, as the rider remains missing.

The PBSO has expressed their commitment to assisting the FWC with ongoing search efforts and extends their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the missing man during this challenging period.
