Three Arrested Following D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC – A shooting incident in Southeast led to the arrest of three men, D.C. Metro Police Department reported. This incident took place yesterday morning, around 11:26 AM, when Seventh District officers, while patrolling the 2800 block of Bruce Place, Southeast, witnessed a shooting between vehicles.

The alleged shooters, trying to escape, crashed their vehicle into a tree, then attempted to flee on foot but were swiftly apprehended by the officers. During the arrest, authorities recovered two firearms from the scene. Despite gunfire damage to their vehicle, the targeted individual escaped injury.

The suspects, identified as 23-year-old Josiah Warfield, 26-year-old Rasheed Mullins, and 30-year-old Alonzo Travis Lover, all from Southeast D.C., face charges including Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun), Carrying a Pistol without a license, and Carrying a Rifle or Shotgun Outside a Home or Business.

In the aftermath, the D.C. Metro Police Department expressed gratitude towards the Prince George’s County Police Department for their support and cooperation in handling the case.
