TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, along with the U.S. Marshals, arrested Jahquel Archer, 25, of Jackson on charges of drug possession and possessing a weapon with a high-capacity magazine.
Following his arrest, Archer was detained at the Ocean County Jail. He was originally arrested after a drug bust in Brick Township in 2018, where he was charged for selling cocaine, MDMA, and marijuana. He had a loaded illegal weapon in his possession at the time of his initial arrest.
Archer was set free after being charged with multiple drug, gun, and child endangerment-related charges. According to records, he was set free under the Bail Reform Act and did not appear on his court date.
In the 2018 raid, authorities arrested eight residents of Ocean County, uncovering a cache of illegal substances and a firearm. The arrests stemmed from an investigation initiated by multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, which has been closely monitoring the drug trade dynamics within the county.
The collaborative effort led to the seizure of a handgun, 650 wax folds of heroin, and various quantities of cocaine, MDMA/molly, and marijuana. The operation was set in motion after authorities surveilled a meeting at a residence on Greenwood Loop in Brick, leading to searches of the home and subsequent traffic stops that resulted in the arrests.
