**Port Jervis, NY** – On Wednesday, Enido Rumaldo, 21, of Port Jervis was sentenced to six years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision after pleading guilty to the criminal sale of a controlled substance in the second degree. Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced the sentencing.

The case against Rumaldo arose from a long-term investigation into narcotics possession and sale in the Port Jervis area. During the investigation, Rumaldo sold narcotics to undercover officers in Port Jervis on four occasions in the fall of last year. On October 16, he sold 63 grams of cocaine to an undercover officer. After the sale, a search of his vehicle revealed additional narcotics, scales, and packaging materials.

District Attorney Hoovler expressed gratitude to several law enforcement agencies, including the Port Jervis Police Department, Orange County Drug Task Force, and Middletown Police Department for their roles in the investigation. Other participating agencies included the Town of Wallkill Police Department, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, the Pike County District Attorney’s Office, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and the Hudson Valley Crime Analyst Center.

Senior Assistant District Attorney Alexis Gregory is prosecuting the case.

Dutchess County Drug Task Force Nabs Fentanyl Dealer in Poughkeepsie

**Poughkeepsie, NY** – The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force is investigating narcotics and dangerous drug sales in designated hotspot areas, particularly South Clinton Street in Poughkeepsie. Persistent community reports have assisted in these ongoing investigations.

During a recent investigation, Drug Task Force Agents acquired fentanyl from an apartment on South Clinton Street. On Tuesday, they arrested Micael E. Sedano, 21, following purchases made near 4 South Clinton Street. Agents apprehended Sedano in the Town of Poughkeepsie without incident on Wednesday.

Sedano faces charges of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, classified as a class B felony. He was arraigned and released in the City of Poughkeepsie court with a future court date set in compliance with New York State law.

Various agencies supported locating Sedano, including the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Division, the City of Poughkeepsie Police, and the Town of Poughkeepsie Police. Sedano, like any accused, is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Police Arrest Suspect in Narcotics Case

**Galloway Township, NJ** – A narcotics arrest took place early Saturday when Officer Rao observed suspicious activity in a parking lot on Brigantine Blvd. The situation unfolded around 4:22 a.m. as a vehicle without a front license plate left the area, catching Rao’s attention.

Officer Rao, along with Officer Sofield, stopped the vehicle at the 4300 Block of Brigantine Blvd. During this stop, Rao’s observations led him to suspect further criminal activity by the vehicle’s occupants. This suspicion prompted a request for a narcotics detection K9.

Officer LaSassa and K9 Evo of the Galloway Township Police Department arrived to assist with the situation. K9 Evo detected the presence of narcotics, leading to a search that uncovered suspected cocaine and Codeine.

Subsequently, Sharod Gillard-Twitty from Middlesex, NJ, was apprehended and charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was released on a summons pending a court date.
