TOMS RIVER, NJ — After a brief closure due to flooding, police in Toms River have reopened the downtown roads previously deemed impassable. The flooding, which affected Irons Street, Herflicker Boulevard, and Adafre Avenue, was caused by an overnight storm. Authorities had urged the public to avoid the downtown area while the flooding persisted.
By 3 PM, the roads were declared safe for passage, and police were present to assist with traffic redirection during the closure. Residents and commuters are now able to travel through the downtown area without restrictions.
