Fatal E-Bike Collision in D.C. Leaves One Man Dead

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A tragic accident involving two DC Bike Share E-Bikes has resulted in the death of 43-year-old Michael Goldstone of Northwest Washington. The Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit is conducting an in-depth inquiry into the incident that unfolded late last month.

On the evening of March 27, around 10:50 p.m., Goldstone and a woman were traveling west on Pennsylvania Avenue when their E-Bikes collided near the intersection with 7th Street NW. The impact caused Goldstone to fall and sustain serious head injuries. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, Goldstone succumbed to his injuries on April 2.

Authorities are seeking information from the public to further understand the circumstances leading to this fatal crash.
