Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run Incident in Leonia

LEONIA, NJ – A 63-year-old woman became a victim of a hit-and-run crash while crossing Hillside Avenue at Broad Avenue. The incident occurred on Friday, April 5th, at approximately 8:15 PM.

  • The pedestrian was struck by a two-door yellow Jeep Wrangler as she was crossing the street. Following the collision, the vehicle fled the scene, heading west on Hillside Avenue.

The woman sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene. The Leonia Police Department urges anyone with information to come forward and contact them at (201) 944-0800 or via email at tips@leonianj.gov.
