Cumberland Man Arrested for Assault and Disturbance

CUMBERLAND, MD — A disturbance at a local business led to the arrest of a Cumberland man on Saturday, April 6. The Cumberland Police Department responded to the incident in the ten block of Queen City Drive following reports of an assault in progress.

Upon arrival, officers observed Daquan Lamel Donaldson, 43, holding the victim on the ground. Investigations revealed that Donaldson had thrown the victim to the ground and assaulted them. Witnesses at the scene corroborated the victim’s account, identifying Donaldson as the aggressor.

Donaldson was arrested and faced a District Court Commissioner, resulting in him being held without bond. He is charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace.
