Armed Robbery at Wilmington’s Kohl’s Under Investigation by Delaware State Police

WILMINGTON, DE – An armed robbery at a Kohl’s store in Wilmington is currently under investigation by the Delaware State Police. The incident took place on the morning of April 9, at around 11:37 AM, at the location on 4437 Kirkwood Highway.

According to the preliminary findings, a female suspect, previously recognized by store employees for shoplifting, threatened an employee with a gun when confronted. After the confrontation, she re-entered the store, stole several items, and fled the scene. Despite efforts, troopers were unable to locate the suspect following a search of the area.

The suspect is described as a thin-built black woman, dressed in a brown Gap shirt and green leggings. Authorities have not yet released surveillance footage or images of the suspect.
