Florida Walmart Shooter Arrested After Helicopter Search

INVERNESS, FL – In a prompt response to a shooting at the Inverness Walmart parking lot, Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies have successfully apprehended suspect Gavin Minden. The incident, which took place last night, led to Minden fleeing on foot towards a nearby Lowes. With the assistance of the CCSO’s Aviation Unit, Minden was located hiding at the edge of the woods west of Lowes.

The altercation began near the Walmart bus stop where surveillance footage showed a verbal exchange between the victims and Minden before the latter discharged a firearm through the back window of the victims’ truck, injuring one in the back of the neck. The injured victim is currently in stable condition at the hospital, while the second victim remained unharmed.

Sheriff Mike Prendergast commended the quick action and coordination between deputies and the Aviation Unit, highlighting the gravity of Minden’s reckless behavior in endangering the lives of individuals and posing a threat to public safety.
