Elderly Man Stabbed with Screwdriver on MTA Bus in the Bronx

BRONX, NY – A 60-year-old man was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver during a confrontation on the MTA Bx22 bus, near 361 East Fordham Road. The incident occurred around 2:10 p.m. on Monday, April 8.

Following a verbal dispute that escalated into physical violence, the assailant attacked the victim and then fled on foot towards the east on East Fordham Road. The victim was promptly transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital by EMS, where he is reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect, a light-complexioned male with a medium build, was last observed wearing a gray jacket, tan pants, brown shoes, carrying a blue bag, and wearing a gray hat. Authorities are currently investigating the assault.
