Woman, Two Children Struck In Deadly D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A shooting in the Carver-Langston neighborhood of Northeast D.C. has resulted in the death of one man and injuries to five others, including a child.

The incident happened at 6:08 pm yesterday when officers were called to the 1100 block of 21st Street, following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found three men, one woman, and a 9-year-old boy with gunshot wounds.

29-year-old Aubrey McLeod from Largo, MD, was pronounced dead at the scene. The four other victims were transported to hospitals for treatment. A 12-year-old boy, also injured in the shooting, later arrived at a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

Preliminary investigations suggest armed suspects opened fire on a group of people from a vehicle. The Metropolitan Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center has released images of the suspected vehicle involved.
