NYC Man Beaten With Belt, Robbed of $35,000 Chain

NEW YORK, NY – A 33-year-old man was violently attacked and robbed early Saturday morning as he was leaving a building on 112 East 11th Street. The assault occurred at approximately 4:20 AM.

The victim was approached from behind by two men who attacked him with a belt and continued punching and kicking him. They then stole his chain, valued at $35,000, and fled southbound on Lafayette Street on foot. The victim was transported to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in stable condition.

Descriptions of the assailants have been released: the first suspect is about 6’1″ tall, with a medium complexion, athletic build, and facial hair, last seen wearing a multicolored hat, beige cargo jacket, and black jeans. The second suspect is roughly 5’9″ tall, has a dark complexion, average build, dreadlocks, and facial hair, and was wearing a multicolored pea coat and white pants at the time of the incident.
