Five Arrested for Stolen Vehicle and Related Charges in Montclair Township

MONTCLAIR, NJNew Jersey State Police successfully apprehended five individuals connected to a motor vehicle theft that occurred in Montclair Township.

The incident unfolded on Monday, at around 2:00 PM, when the stolen 2023 black Audi SQ8, taken earlier during a home burglary, was tracked traveling through Newark and onto the New Jersey Turnpike. The vehicle was later stopped at the Vince Lombardi Service Area in Ridgefield Borough, where all five occupants were detained as they entered the service area building.

The suspects, identified as 21-year-old Najee A. Jenkins, 19-year-old Nazir Moses from Irvington, NJ, and three juveniles from Newark, face charges including second-degree receiving a stolen motor vehicle, conspiracy to receive a stolen motor vehicle, and fourth-degree resisting arrest by flight. Jenkins and Moses are currently held at the Bergen County Jail, while the juveniles are lodged in the Bergen County Juvenile Detention Center, all awaiting further legal proceedings.
