Hit and Run Driver Caught on Video in Jackson, Arrested

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ—A dashboard camera captured a hit-and-run crash by an erratic driver in Jackson Township. The video, published by the Lakewood Scoop, shows a reckless driver narrowly miss a vehicle before driving on a sidewalk, re-entering the roadway, and striking a bicyclist.

The driver then fled the scene. The witness stopped to check on the bicyclist, according to the Lakewood Scoop before calling the police and trailing the vehicle until police arrived.

Police later arrested a Hispanic male in connection with the hit-and-run at the intersection of South Hope Chapel Road and Whitesville Road.
