Newport News Police Conclude Successful Series of High School Forums

NEWPORT NEWS, VA — The Newport News Police Department (NNPD) hosted their final high school forum of the year this Monday morning at An Achievable Dream High School. Chief Drew was joined by Detective Campbell, Sgt. Mallette, Forensic Specialist Wells, and School Resource Officer (SRO) Mina.

This year’s series of forums provided an engaging platform for students to ask questions and discuss various topics with law enforcement officers. The events have been praised for strengthening community ties and offering insights into the concerns of young residents. The NNPD and Newport News Public Schools (NNPS) team members were acknowledged for their efforts in organizing these valuable interactions. Plans are already underway to continue the forums in the next academic year.
