Fatal Pedestrian Collision Under Investigation in Prince George’s County

Upper Marlboro, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that claimed the life of 81-year-old Tomel Burke. The incident occurred on Monday at approximately 11:05 PM at the intersection of John Rogers Boulevard and Courtland Lane.

Upon arrival, officers found Burke in the roadway, critically injured. He was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. According to preliminary findings, the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on John Rogers Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities; she reported no injuries from the incident.
