Investigation Underway After Suspect Found Dead Following Stabbing Incident in Frederick

Frederick, MD – The Frederick Police Department is conducting an investigation following a tragic incident that left a suspect dead on Monday evening. Police were called to the 1300 block of Hampshire Drive around 6:36 PM after reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that two individuals had sustained minor injuries in a stabbing incident involving a suspect known to them. Attempts to contact the suspect, who was believed to be inside the residence, were unsuccessful despite multiple efforts by the officers.

The situation escalated, leading to the involvement of the Special Response Team and the Crisis Negotiator Team, who also failed to establish communication with the suspect. A subsequent entry into the home revealed that the suspect had died. The circumstances of the suspect’s death are currently under investigation, and further details, including the suspect’s identity, have not been released at this time.
