Midnight Robbery at Albemarle County Shell Station

People refuel their vehicles with gasoline at a Shell gas station in Los Angeles

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA—The Albemarle County Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at a Shell gas station on Ivy Road just after midnight on Thursday. The suspect, after being denied the sale of alcohol due to time restrictions, engaged in a physical altercation with the clerk and stole the cash register till along with a case of alcohol.

The victim described the suspect as a Black male in his 30s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing around 200 pounds. Initially wearing a black t-shirt, shorts, and a gray mask, the suspect removed his shirt and mask during the altercation. Authorities are now seeking any information regarding the suspect who fled with roughly $180 in cash.
