Baltimore Police Arrest Man with Illegal Gun, Drugs

Baltimore, MD – Baltimore police officers arrested a man Tuesday night for an illegal gun and suspicious gel capsules after a 911 call reporting his actions was made by local residents.

On Tuesday evening, around 6:26 p.m., police officers monitoring McElderry Street and Patterson Park Avenue in Southeast Baltimore District spotted a male exhibiting behaviors of an armed individual in the 600 block of Patterson Park Avenue. Following this observation, law enforcement conducted an investigative stop and discovered a loaded handgun and controlled dangerous substances in gel capsules within the suspect’s possession.

The apprehended individual, a 22-year-old male, was taken into custody and later charged at the Central Booking Intake Facility.

His name was not released.

The arrest was made in response to the perceived threat posed by the suspect.
