Home Burglary Attempt Thwarted in Parsippany

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Early in the morning on April 6, 2024, Parsippany Police were called to a residence on Brentford Street following a report of an attempted burglary. According to the homeowner, he was awakened around 4:25 a.m. by the noise of two male suspects trying to enter his property.

The homeowner witnessed the suspects examining his vehicle in the driveway before they moved toward the rear of his house. One suspect was seen carrying a crowbar, while the other was spotted attempting to remove a screen from a window on the garage. The quick-thinking homeowner turned on the exterior lights, causing the suspects to flee. They were last seen escaping in a white Hyundai Tucson.

Both suspects were described as wearing black sweatpants and dark blue or green hooded sweatshirts, with white or gray undershirts underneath. The Parsippany Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into this incident and is asking anyone with information to contact their Investigative Branch at 973-263-4300.
