On Friday, NYPD officers responded to a 911 call reporting an aided individual inside 131 East 21st Street, within the jurisdiction of the 70th Precinct, around 6:09 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a 29-year-old male, identified as Alexis Antonio Acevedo Ponce, unconscious and unresponsive. Despite efforts by EMS, the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death as the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident continues.
