Arrest Made in 2021 Harlem Shooting that Left Young Man Dead

NEW YORK, NY—A 23-year-old man was arrested on Friday evening at 7:00 PM within the 32nd Precinct, in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in 2021 in Harlem. Deion King, residing at 174 West 136 Street, has been charged in relation to the incident that took place on the southwest corner of West 136 Street and Lenox Avenue.

On Sunday, June 27, 2021, at approximately 6:50 PM, a 21-year-old male was confronted and shot multiple times by an unidentified assailant, resulting in wounds to his back, neck, and left ankle. The victim was transported by EMS to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Following an extensive investigation, King was identified and apprehended. The second man involved in the incident is still sought for questioning.
