Police Searching for Armed Robber Targeting NYC Businesses

NEW YORK, NY – New York City Police are seeking information about a suspect involved in a series of robberies within the 47 and 14 Precincts. The first incident occurred on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 3804 Boston Road in the 47 Precinct at approximately 3:07 PM. An unknown male threatened a 19-year-old female employee by claiming to have a firearm, though he fled without taking any property.

The following day, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at about 9:44 AM, the same individual reportedly entered a location at 520 9th Avenue in the 14 Precinct. He again claimed to be armed and proceeded to steal a cash box containing $150 from behind the cash register before fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as a male, around 5’11” tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds, with a light complexion. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigations. No injuries were reported in either incident.
