Teen Arrested for Assault and Reckless Driving at Montgomery County Park

BOYDS, MD – A 19-year-old was arrested following a series of dangerous actions and an assault at the Germantown Recreational Park in Boyds, Montgomery County. Identified as Khojasteh, the teenager was driving a 2021 white Audi A5 with a Virginia license plate reading “TRYLOL.” The incident occurred on April 10 when Khojasteh and others were reportedly performing “doughnuts” and driving recklessly in the parking lot of the Soccer Plex.

When confronted by a park employee, Khojasteh allegedly brandished a handgun and pointed it at the staff member before fleeing the scene. Montgomery County Park Police attempted a traffic stop shortly after the incident but did not pursue Khojasteh when he sped away.

Khojasteh was apprehended a week later on April 17, in a joint operation by Park Police and Montgomery County Police. He faces charges including first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, use of a firearm in a crime of violence, fleeing police, and numerous related traffic offenses. Previous citations in Montgomery and Worcester counties indicate a history of reckless driving. No additional arrests related to the incident have been reported.
