Toms River Motorcyclist Identified in Fatal Crash Involving State Trooper

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Frank Lando Jr., a 65-year-old resident of Toms River, has been identified as the motorcyclist who tragically died in a collision with a New Jersey State Trooper’s vehicle earlier this month. The incident, involving Trooper Anthony Fernandes, occurred on April 9 on Route 70 near Burrs Mill Road in Southampton, Burlington County.

The New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin confirmed the details of the crash on Friday. Trooper Fernandes was patrolling Route 70 when the accident with Mr. Lando’s motorcycle took place around 11:35 AM.
