D.C. Police Officer Threatened with Gun During Store Theft

WASHINGTON, D.C.Police in D.C. are calling for community assistance to locate suspects involved in an armed confrontation with a special police officer. This incident occurred after a retail theft on Saturday evening in Northeast Washington.

On April 20, at 8:04 PM, the suspects entered a retail store located in the 800 block of Bladensburg Road, stole property, and confronted a security guard while exiting without payment. One of the suspects brandished a gun at the special police officer, who remained unharmed. They then fled the scene.

The suspects were caught on surveillance cameras.

The D.C. Metro Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for this violent crime.
