Fatal Crashes Cause Traffic Disruption in South Brunswick Early Tuesday Morning

Two fatal serious crashes on Tuesday morning, April 23, in South Brunswick led to significant traffic disruptions, as confirmed by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. The first accident, a fatal crash investigation on Route 1 northbound north of New Road, resulted in the closure of two out of three lanes around 7:50 a.m., according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

Another fatal crash incident occurred at approximately 6 a.m., shutting down Route 535 southbound between Stults and Thatcher roads, according to local law enforcement.

The crashes created heavy delays in the area as emergency responders and investigators worked at the scenes.
