Man Arrested in Westchester for Illegally Photographing Under Muslim Woman’s Garment

A 23-year-old man is facing serious charges in Westchester after allegedly taking a photo under a Muslim woman’s clothing and exposing himself.

The incident occurred on a Friday, turning violent in New Rochelle, with the suspect, identified as Hussain Haider from New Rochelle, approaching the victim wearing a niqāb.

According to New Rochelle Police Captain J. Collins Coyne’s announcement on Friday, April 19, Haider took a photo under the woman’s niqāb and then exposed himself to her and her young child who was present.

Details on the exact location of the incident were not disclosed by the authorities. Following the investigation, Haider was apprehended on Thursday, April 18, at approximately 4 p.m. and charged with second-degree unlawful surveillance, forcible touching, and endangering the welfare of a child.
