Scranton Man Charged for Public Intoxication in Wilkes-Barre

On Thursday, officers from Wilkes-Barre City Police Department responded to a report of a domestic dispute at 102 Old River Road. The incident, logged as a case of public drunkenness under the IRC number 240081165, involved Ladora Johnson, a 36-year-old resident of Scranton, PA. The encounter occurred at 0123 hours at the aforementioned location within Wilkes-Barre City.

Upon reaching the site, law enforcement officials found Johnson in a state of inebriation, suspected to be under the influence of both an alcoholic beverage and a controlled substance. Given the perceived level of intoxication, the police officers took her into custody for the safety of herself and others around her. The decision to detain her was prompted by concerns that her condition posed a risk to her well-being and those in proximity.
