Quick Thinking D.C. Violence Victim Sprays Gunmen With Gasoline

WASHINGTON, DC – Early Tuesday morning, an assault with a dangerous weapon occurred in the 300 block of Rhode Island Ave, NW. Third District officers responded to the scene at a gas station at 5:45 AM, where suspects armed with long guns confronted a victim.

In a defensive move, the victim sprayed the assailants with gasoline, causing them to flee the scene. During the escape, one of the suspects discharged their firearm once. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the gunfire.
