Woman Assaulted in the Bronx

BRONX, NY – A violent assault occurred at the intersection of Jerome Avenue and East 167th Street where a 54-year-old woman was pushed from behind by an unidentified man. The incident, resulting in the woman falling on her face, caused lacerations to her forehead and nose. Following the attack, the assailant fled on foot towards Shakespeare Avenue.

The suspect, described as a male with a dark complexion and heavy build, was last seen wearing a black hat, red hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored t-shirt, dark pants, and white sneakers. The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where she is listed in stable condition.
