Loaded Gun Goes Off Inside New Jersey Trampoline Park Photo Booth

South Hackensack, NJ – Two young boys are alive and bystanders spared after a steel plate in a photo booth stopped an accidentally discharged round from an illegal gun from doing any damage.

Surveillance footage showed the boys from Paterson inside the booth and then hurriedly fleeing, covering their ears after the gunshot.

A steel plate reportedly prevented a catastrophe at Urban Air Trampoline & Adventure Park in South Hackensack when a loaded gun brought into a photo booth by two boys went off, authorities revealed. “If not for the steel plate, the round could have gone through the machine and struck an innocent victim,” said South Hackensack Police Detective Sgt. James Donatello.

The 6:30 p.m. Sunday shooting on April 28 was part of a series of recent incidents attracting significant law enforcement attention to the all-ages entertainment facility near Route 80.
