Police Investigating After Yacht Crashes Into Shoreline in Stafford

Stafford, VA – Law enforcement in Stafford County is actively looking into a bizarre maritime incident that occurred on Sunday night. A yacht crashed into the shore late in the evening at the Aquia Creek Lodge.

Deputy K.R. Sprinkles responded to a call about the incident and confirmed the collision. The boat’s owner was unaware of the boat’s condition, prompting deputies to suspect it was stolen before it ran aground.

The Coast Guard and Department of Game and Inland Fisheries are involved in its removal, while deputies are actively investigating.
