Shore Mammal Center Rescues Another Seal Pup

Spring Lake, NJ – Marine Mammal Stranding Center recently received a call about a male Grey seal pup found on Passaic Ave beach. At the center, the emaciated seal was given supportive care through tube feeding. Despite starting on assist-feedings upon intake, it quickly transitioned to self-feeding within days.

Currently housed in Pen 1 of the Pool House, this seal pup is known for its spirited demeanor.

The center is currently tending to 18 seals, providing essential medical care for their rehabilitation and release back into the wild. Marine Mammal Stranding Center encourages donations to sustain their rescue and recovery efforts.
