Stamford Man Killed in House Fire

STAMFORD, CT — A tragic incident unfolded in Stamford on Thursday evening, where a fire claimed the life of 67-year-old Mark Palmer. Stamford Fire Department responded to the residential fire at 48 Powel Place around 6:55 PM. After extinguishing the blaze, firefighters discovered Palmer’s body inside the home.

The incident has prompted an active investigation involving the Stamford Fire Department Fire Marshal, Connecticut State Police Fire Investigators, and the Stamford Police Arson Unit, who are working together to determine the cause and assess any potential foul play. The Stamford Police Department continues to maintain a presence at the scene as the investigation proceeds.
