Mass. Firefighter Filmed Women Nude in Locker Room, Heading to Prison

NORTHAMPTON, MA — Nicholas Tillman, a 39-year-old former firefighter from Westfield, has been sentenced to eight months in prison after admitting to placing hidden cameras in the women’s locker room at the Easthampton Public Safety Complex. The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office reported that Tillman pleaded guilty on April 24 to multiple charges related to the violation of privacy of his female colleagues.

Tillman faced three counts each of videotaping intimate parts without consent and videotaping an unsuspecting nude person, along with one count of attempted illegal wiretap. Following his prison term, he is required to register as a sex offender and will be on probation for two years.

The investigation began in July 2022 when a female firefighter discovered two hidden cameras in lockers. Police retrieved SD cards from the cameras, which contained videos of female firefighters changing and showering. A subsequent sting operation using a Nest camera in the locker room identified Tillman as the individual who retrieved the hidden devices.
