Philadelphia Man Charged for Setting Two People on Fire Inside Their Home

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 64-year-old Philadelphia resident, Kimbrady Carriker, faces charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and arson following an incident last month where he allegedly set two people on fire in their Southwest Philadelphia home.

Authorities responded to a fire at a residence on the 2500 block of South 17th Street late on April 26. Upon entering the burning home, police found an 82-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man with burns on their legs and feet.

The victims reported that Carriker had doused the interior of the home and their feet with gasoline before setting it on fire and fleeing the scene.

Both victims were transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for treatment. Further reports reveal that Carriker is the father of another individual, also named Kimbrady Carriker, who is accused of killing five people in Kingsessing last July.
