PHILADELPHIA, PA — A distressing incident occurred in Philadelphia’s 2nd District on Comly Street around 5:37 PM, where a 31-year-old female driving a blue Chevy Traverse struck a 2-year-old girl. The toddler was quickly transported to Einstein Hospital by Medic 12, where she was initially listed in critical condition.
Tragically, the young child was pronounced deceased at 6:18 PM. The Philadelphia Police Department has secured the scene, and the Crash Investigation Division will lead the ongoing investigation into this heartbreaking event.
The PPD has not released the name of the driver at this time.
