Carjacking at Busy Manhattan Intersection

NEW YORK, NY — Police are investigating a carjacking that occurred early on Tuesday at the intersection of West 38th Street and 7th Avenue. At about 3:17 AM, a 23-year-old man was forcibly removed from his 2021 BMW M5 by three unidentified men, who arrived in three vehicles: a silver sedan, a black BMW, and a black Mercedes.

The assailants, one of whom brandished a firearm, took the victim’s car and fled the scene. The victim, who sustained minor injuries, declined medical attention. The suspects involved in this incident have not been apprehended.

Police described one male in a white tank top and black pants and another in a black hooded sweatshirt with light-colored pants and black sneakers. The remaining four suspects were reportedly wearing black hooded jackets and face masks.
