Elderly Man Assaulted on 3rd Avenue in Manhattan

NEW YORK, NY — An assault on a 66-year-old man prompted a police response in Manhattan’s 13th Precinct on Wednesday. The incident occurred in front of 369 3rd Avenue around 11:48 AM following a 911 call.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers learned that the victim had been punched in the face by an unidentified assailant. Emergency Medical Services transported the injured man to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was treated for bruising, swelling, and bleeding of his left eye. The assailant remains at large, and police continue to investigate the matter.
