14-Year-Old Arrested for Shooting Teen in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 14-year-old male from Southeast has been arrested and charged with assault with intent to commit murder following a shooting incident. The Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District detectives reported that the suspect shot a 16-year-old male on April 26h, in the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue.

The victim was found with gunshot wounds and transported to a local hospital, where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

The 14-year-old turned himself in at a district police station on Sunday, May 12, following a DC Superior Court custody order.
