Drunk Driver Had Child Passenger Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Reports

Stafford County, VA — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported a DUI arrest early Monday involving a driver with a juvenile passenger.

On May 13, at approximately 12:56 a.m., Sergeant J.D. Hurt observed a vehicle struggling to stay in its lane near the intersection of Warrenton Road and Celebrate Virginia Parkway.

Noting signs of a possible DUI, Sergeant Hurt conducted a traffic stop with assistance from Deputy W.E. Trainor.

The driver displayed clear signs of intoxication and admitted to consuming approximately five shots before driving. A juvenile was found in the backseat. The driver was charged with driving under the influence with a child present and a traffic lane violation. She is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,500 secured bond.

The Driver’s name was not released.
